You beat me to it! My mom got an 01 with every option except the wood trim around the door switches. she even had the spoiler and trunk mat, something most of them dont have. Needless to say, it didnt go in the snow, so we got rid of it.
Yes, 01 was the first year, and yes, 5 speed wasnt available till 02. We bought the car with a little over 2k on it, it was a dealer demo. silver with black leather/swade interior... ohhh so nice. and you think its a good looking car? you should drive one. with the low profiles, that car could take corners like it was on rails. in the straights it flew like a rocket sled on rails too. It was an AWESOME car!
I hope to own an IS 300 5 speed one day...
