Sacramento Auto Show (56K go take a dump)

All pics shot with Nikon D70s + Tokina 12-24mm f/4. Expodisc for white balance.

Lighting inside the place was crap, dim and mixed lighting. Used anywhere from iso 400 to iso 1600 and +0.3EV to +1EV exposure comp.

I was surprised by the lack of a crowd, although I did go on a Friday when most ppl were still at work or getting off work. The parking lot wasn't full like it normally is with other events.

Better for me I guess. Less walk ins, you know those ppl that walk in front of you when your trying to take a pic. Having a superwide angle lens is nice for that, I can get close and still have the entire car in the frame.

nice pics, but...

its annoying to see the watermark copyright in the middle of the photos. who is going to steal a 800px x 530px photo?

Yeah its annoying, but I've had assholes stealing and using my pics without my permission. They think just because its on the internet, its free for the taking. If ppl would respect the work of others, I wouldn't have to resort to watermarking my pics.

I'll put it another way. Lets say you left your car unlocked with the keys in it, does that give someone the right to take off with it? However you look at it, its stealing.

As for the watermark being in the middle of the pic, thats done on purpose. If it were in the corner, it can simply be cropped out.

Without the watermark, no one would know who took the picture(s). If someone wanted to use it (with my permission) or buy a print, they wouldn't know who to contact.

If someone still wants to steal my pics, so be it. Have fun removing that watermark and maybe getting a 4x6 print out of it.
