Well.. My car is gone...

My bro got into a pretty bad accident last night.

He had a really deep gash near his temple area and it wouldn't stop bleeding. They called in a plastic surgeon to fix it up and it eventually stopped bleeding. It still drips a little but its looking ok for now.

As for the car... I really don't know what to make of it. The entire back is just crushed and gone... The front of the car is ok. Rear windshield and driver side glass is gone as well. My rims are bent, HID's are gone for some odd reason... they may just have gotten loose or something, CarPC is gone, it literally shattered.

And to gauge how bad the impact was... I found the heatsink for the CPU almost 15 feet from the site of the accident.

From what I heard a car tried to cut him off in a local street and he tried to swerve, I guess he panicked and lost control of the car because he mashed the gas instead of the brake.

The car went up over the curb, the tail of my car clipped the tail of another spinning the car and it finally slammed into the tree.

I heard this from his friend but we're not so sure this is the entire story...

My parents are holding up fine. My mom is helping him get cleaned up. My dad is pretty steamed.

As for me, I don't know. I rely on my car to go to and from school and to handle my business appointments. I'm not upset at him, unless I find out he was speeding or something stupid...

For now i've got to find me another car ASAP. And yes.. im getting another sc... This time its gonna be a 300. (easier to turbo)
I need to check with my funds to see whats gonna happen. I spent a lot of cash getting the 400 tuned up and I can only reuse so many of those...

hope your brother gets well soon

since the front is okay, i would part out the interior (keep the seats if u like them) ... and use the front clip for another car .... that engine may not be the BEST, but its damn sure worth something!

My bro is doing ok now. Taking his meds and resting up.

My plans for now are to part it out and help my parents with the hospital bill. Whatevers left im gonna let it sit in the bank until I have enough for a decent 96 or 97 sc300, wheels and a turbo kit (6 cyl this time)

I may try to repair the rims and re sell them depending on the cost, or just sell them as is. I'm not sure if I wanna keep anything laying around since I don't have space. My standards for the next car are gonna be pretty high, so before i buy it ill make sure it needs next to no work.

My dads got a friend who does amazing body work and wants to check it tomorrow to see if he can repair it, but I feel its just not worth the time, effort and money. I'd rather just start over.

The other engine in the pic is another 1uz-fe that I was using to mock up the pipes for my turbo project, but of course its not happening anymore so im just gonna scrap it for some cash.

Man, sorry to hear what happened... On the good note, your brother is fine and resting up, and you can explore into the 2JZ

The damage looks pretty severe, I am afraid it goes way beyond just bodywork... Frame is toast, interior/cockpit is mangled, and the car will never be the same if it was repaired. I would look for an SC300 and start again.

Well, you know how it is.. The first time you purchase a car, you always spot a mistake or something you wish you would have noticed before you bought the car. Now it's a 2nd chance for you to look for the same car, but in flawless since you know the car inside and out now

Yea, I told my dad but he says the guy wants to come see it anyway. Hell if I can get him to buy the whole thing off me it will save me the trouble of parting out.

Looking forward to working on the 2j tho.
