Solara Pre-Spring Teaser

I am way too antsy to wait to post up my springtime plans, so I had to make some kind of a teaser or something. Im shooting to have the car completely done by mid summer so I can start saving dough for other expenses a kid with a gf of 2+ years graduating from college has so yeah, here is some of the stuff under my bed waiting for the solaRAD to come home so I can install them...

This stuff has been laying around for months

These just came today!

hmmm what could the christmas gift to myself be??

there it is again, weird...

Summer Project teaser:

So yeah, ive been storing my car at the shop over christmas break, then the work just got going last week. The rear main seal and axle seals are done, but unfortunately the shop that did the oem replacement clutch last before I owned the car broke a bolt off in the passenger side axle and made it almost impossible to get back in, so i had to buy a new axle. The EGT and wideband O2 bungs are welded in, so those gauges will work once I get the car back. Just a matter of waiting on the axle, then bolting the full JP exhaust on at this point

The rear bumper is also being repainted for free while the car is in for the other work since it was cracked on accident during the clutch install. This was the last faded budy piece to be fixed, so the paint will be just about mint after that. Once the car is home I will roll the fenders and install the longer studs/rear spacers and bolt up the new wheel/tire setup. Lugs will be here next week as well.

Once that stuff is taken care of, ill install the fuel system mods and 5.5 psi pulley, as well as the pillar pod with oil pressure and wideband O2. I got an Apexi SAFC2 for an insane price brand new from the shop that will have to be wired also- still looking to track down some injectors to complete the fuel mods. Then it will be off to monkey wrench for a full tune. That leaves the summer project after that and then I will enjoy the car and call it quits... Im so excited to have everything taken care of and in working order!

wow, thats long. Im too excited Ill keep this updated as things progress in the next few weeks.

Damon

looking like some good fun as always....too bad you have the car stored at school so I didn't get to see it when I came over *sniff*

and you're going to love the wideband....that's one gauge that I think has been the most useful.

my only question though, is why you really need an egt gauge as well though if you have a wideband

^yeah I probably really dont need it, but when I bought my gauges over the summer they were being sold in a big bundle, so I just went for it I didnt know anything about widebands at the time, so thats why I installed it. I guess it wont hurt to have both, but I dont really need both either

ah...not too bad then I suppose....

but you know that you could sell the egt for a pretty penny though
