only thing i dont like is that the TRD s/c is so expensive, and for a 3L V6 you dont get a huge power increase .... but i love ur car anyways

100 whp gain isnt bad at all with what king is running right now IMO. I can see what you mean, but I dont think its that bad considering no other bolt on alternatives exist.

true, im anxious to see what it will do at 7 or 8 psi with enough fuel!

but i was trying to compare to drews future setup ... which would be < or = $3ooo as well, but should yield a 125hp gain on a 2.2L 4cyl, thats why it seems low ...

but as milt says ... gotta pay to play, and im just happy to see someone put together a nice car that isnt the typical thing you see every day

in a sense, I have to agree with lenny in that the blower is expensive....if I had to buy a brand new one, I don't know if I would drop the money on it. But part of the beauty of the blower too is the flat torquecurve...at no point between 3000rpm to redline am I under 200ft/lbs...pretty much just touch the throttle and go...

As for the 5sfte...I really respect a good build, but until somebody actually builds a 5sfte and runs it for a couple years at the power level that we're looking at for the same money....while still being able to compare with a overall easily usable powerband....it's not really much of a valid comparison. At the moment, a proven high powered, reliable 5sfte setup in a camry is still just a pipe dream unfortunately...hopefully somebody will complete one soon enough though...

And as much as I am satisfied with my numbers, it's still not close to the limits of the supercharger. There are people on SG who have really taken it to the limits and push 300+whp- some auto, some 5-speed...not bad considering a stock auto 1mz puts out around 150whp.

Even for myself, with the injectors in, I *should* be hitting around 270whp if not more. With meth injection...well, I don't want to speculate and disappoint myself...but 300whp isn't impossible per se

All I know is that I don't see myself going any higher with the boost though. The engine's taking a lot of abuse as it is now.

Shannon/presure2 on 6gc.net has been running 5SFTE's up to <edit> 235hp & 275ft-lbs for 10s of thousands of miles .... and he claims he can build the setup for under $3k [idk if i believe that or not ]

but never in a Camry, for some reason ... thats why i hope Drew reconsiders

i want to see ur Camry with a good AFR and meth 300whp is definitely nearing the limit of a FWD without a LSD for traction, so i hope you have some sticky ties

I dont think we will ever see a reliable and impressive, well done 5sfte in a camry. No one has the money, and the ones who do are smart enough not to spend it on a gen 3

I bet your car would be a BEAST with the JP full setup on there... Im really impressed with your numbers so far bro! Im way too scared to run more than 6 psi.
