I'm from Louisville KY and around this time we have the KY Derby, one of the biggest horse-races in the US if not the biggest. The week before Derby you can go out track-side and eat breakfast while the horses work out. I did this yesterday and thought I'd share the pics with you guys. Hope you enjoy!
this is Larry Jones, the trainer of Fresian Fire riding him...
This is Mr. Hot Stuff, He'll be in the Derby
I'm still editing, so I post some more when I get them done. Hope you like!

i go to the Preakness every year usually, but im usually too blitzed off the cheap beer to take any pics
thanks guys!
quick question...is the Preakness a really big deal up there? Cause here we do the Derby Festival that goes on 2 weeks before the Derby. I've always been curious about that.
Here's some others that I took.

the preakness is a HUGE deal around here...anyone who is anyone goes
the infield is just a massive party complete with live music and such....the preakness celebration goes all day long!
theres plenty of booze and food to go around
there used to be a little tradition started by some college kids called "the running of the port-o-potties" were smashed college kids attempt to run across the tops of the port-o-potties without getting knocked offd by the flying beer cans/cups people are chucking at them...it was a riot to watch but it has since been stopped by the spacing of the port-o-potties....
the preakness is more of a shitshow than a horse race honestly
cool pics... but I gotta go ahead and give a WOAAAHHHHH THERE... the HDR or Light/Dark is WAY to much... crazy colored grainyness, blue tinted outlines, and noise is just killing how AWESOME these shots should be

thanks...and it's nice to see someone that knows about photography on here...but no it's not HDR you can't use that with horses they don't stand still...and it was done on purpose...i agree that i don't like some of the outlines that occurred...but i liked the effect that it gave the rest of the pic...so i went with it...i like it cause it makes some of them look like a painting...which is kinda cool...

i'll agree with most of what neoz31 is saying about editing, but being into photography myself, everyone has their own different style of editing each photo, whether it is bringing out some colors more than others, etc.
regardless, i want to commend you on most of these, they came out real nice!
