So I've opened the money floodgates last march and got myself my dream car after probably 5 years of looking around for a good one at a reasonable price.
It's a 1965 Chevy Impala SS. It's a true SS and not a clone, it's got the original 327-300 motor with slight addons, but a 5 speed manual tranny that I have yet to identify out of any doubt, but it has got to be from the '80s cause GM didn't make 5 speeds before that.
The body is already primed up wich is good. The car will be black. It came with brand new white wall tires. Sorry no pictures...
Trunk full o' Junk. Everything that wasn't on the car, was in the trunk. Notice you can fit the front effing GRILLE in the trunk. You could seriously rent that shit to a family of 4 to help pay for the car if you were broke.
One sexy back end
Edelbrock carb, it also has an edelbrock performer intake, Air filter assy and edelbrock valve covers
Valve covers revealed this :
Spark plug wire change couple weeks ago to give you an idea of the size :
I'm sitting inside the compartment, my feet resting on the control arms.
Timmy Hoes made this possible :
I'd like to point out the fact that understanding and working on these cars mostly is the easiest thing ever, apart from rusted bolts and the occasional annoying fastener, there's not much on there that you can't work out with a 1/2 socket 3foot breaker bar. I'd also like to thank TN because 4 years ago I wasn't able to do an oil change on anything other than my own crank shaft and now I can do this. I'm expecting it to be on the streets late next summer if all goes well

Thanks everyone, it looks like it's gonna be lot's of fun, you pop the hood and everything is right there so no real hassle with cramped space
Midnight Match : Just backing it up in the garage makes me nervous sometimes. I'm not used to driving a stick anymore...plus the clutch is really low it's like you got a quarter inch to get a house moving...phew lol
thoughthard : That is truly appreciated, I'm taking good note of this and I thank you very much!!

sweet project! It makes me miss my 76 Stingray. ...and my 81 Monte Carlo, and my 72 Nova, and my Datsun 240... all had carb'ed SBCs in em.
If you need a brand new Edelbrock fuel pump, carburetor, intake manafold or any other small or big block parts shoot me a PM, I got stuff I'll sell on the cheap. I use to build the shit outta those things.

^^ Dude, '72 novas and this Gen of Novas in particular were badass, one of my favorite cars of the 70s. There's just not a bad angle on them, they're just badass all over!
I might be interested in the fuel pump since I've already got the Edelbrock intake and carb on the car, I'll drop you a PM when I get to the fuel system

Yeah man, agreed 100%. My Nova was only an SS clone with a hotrod clear over prime rattle can paint job but I was putting about 400 to the ground.
The fuel pump is brand spankin new in the box and wrapped in plastic, never installed. It was for my Vette but I ended up needing something a little different and I just never returned this one.
PM me when you're ready and I'll shoot you some pics and specs.

that looks like a fantastic project, man, best of luck with it!
Are you going to go for a hot-rod look with it or gonna go lowrider?

It's gonna hit the road as stock as can be because she will have to pass an inspection, but when this is done I'd like to bag it and put some nice 5 spokes on it.
That would be it : a nice, black, low '65 impala Super sport.
