Went on a Diet.... Pics

Lost some pounds and a few inches!!! It was a long process, due to the extreme OCD Lee has. We bought me some wheels earlier this week and he went to pick them up while I was at school. Come to find out the wheels have some bad curb rash, and three of them are a matte finish, and the forth is clear coated. These wheels are super rare to find, so we were gonna tough it out and say screw it, then Lee found another set. They are perfect, no curbs, all the same finish, center caps (that the other set were missing as well), everything.

Right now I just have on the tires that came with the wheels because I was so excited to get to drive it. New tires soon though!

Pics are without centercaps, and I haven't had time to get any pics today, but she's looking awesome.

Wheels are from a 99 Sport Miata.

We did have to re-spray the center caps, as they had began to yellow. Now Lee is considering re-finishing these wheels. OCD Strikes again!




So far, it's definitely a smoother ride, yet still has the sporty-ish feel to it, along with less braking required, and just lighter all around to drive, turn, etc. I love it.

Now it doesn't look like a monster truck anymore.

It's faster and easier to drive because smaller wheels require less rotational inertia.

There she is as of today. Russ, Obsessive compulsive disorder. You wouldn't believe how clean his house stays, or his cars. It's crazy, but I love it about him. Nothing like having a clean guy. He's very nit-picky about certain things, usually relating to organization and/or cleaning.

Excuse the crazy amount of dirt/nastiness on the car, speaking of things being clean...

He's amazing, you'd talk about him all the time too if you knew him.


His clean habits have rubbed off on me a lot the past few months.

He bought the wheels, so yeah, he's gonna be talked about. Hehehehe. Old wheels going back on this weekend. Not for long, just to re-finish these.

These Miata OEM wheels are 13.1 lbs each. Konig Monsoons might be 21.0 lbs each I think. Not positive on the Konigs.

So these are just OEM wheels then? I agree, looks way better.

They are, but not for my body style. They are from a 99 sport. I don't like the wheels that came on the body style I have.

No thanks. The only stuff being done to her are any repairs that may come up. Still a possibility of getting a different one some time soon. Maybe..... We'll see. I love her the way she is.
