My newest mod...

The House Mod! The wife and I just purchased our first home. It's a two story, four bedrooms, 2.5 bathrooms, basement, blah blah... but the real thing that matters is the two car garage! I am so excited to finally have a place to work on my project right outside the door.

I haven't updated you guys on the 240 in forever. We moved it over to the new house last Sunday. My cousin towed it with a car hauler and her big Dodge Ram.

The Rig taking up my whole driveway, lol:

In her new home:

So yeah... the exterior of the car is done for the most part. The full Kouki 180SX aero has been painted and installed. The front end is just sitting on there at the moment until the motor goes back in. Here are a couple more pics of the outside right now:

(Excuse the angles)

I also got a new seat and put the whole interior back in- Bride Zeta III Type L.

I sold my Defi gauges for a crazy price and bought some AEM digital units to replace them. So yeah, I am installing the Ganador Super Aero side mirrors tonight and then the interior/exterior will be pretty much done. Maybe a Cusco cage and a Next Miracle X Brace down the road...

I haven't had time to deal with the motor, since it is still at a friend's place. I'll be getting it back within a week or two- along with my Work CR Kai wheels that are out there being painted. 17x9 +17 F (will probably run a spacer) and 18x9.5 +12 R. Here they are when I dropped them off for paint:

And here is how the motor sits. Mostly, I just need to bolt up the clutch/flywheel/trans and it will be ready to drop in!

So yeah, that's my update... exciting times! It should be running in a few weeks. I have a lot going on for the next few weekends, so that's slowing me down a bit, but the garage will be a HUGE help! I have the Power FC base map all ready to go, then it will be off to Monkey Wrench for a dyno tune- hoping to make in the 275-315whp range for a solid, reliable daily. I will post some pics of the house soon and keep you guys posted!

Damon

Congratulations on buying the new house, Damon, that's always a big step! You're going to love having your own garage to do the work on your ride, now all you need to do is get all your tools and stuff organized. If you're like, Russ, you can always work on an engine block in the living room, I'm sure your wife won't mind..... Very cool, man!

Just don't let her catch you using the dishwasher as a parts washer. ...been there, done that. Still haven't lived it down.

^ Best of luck! The process sucks... I was so happy when it finally worked out!

Thanks for the compliments guys!

I finally had a little time to mess with the car last night- and I took pics with an ACTUAL camera instead of a phone! These pics really show how dirty the car is. I installed the Ganador mirrors and got the front end out of the way. My mirrors are for an S15, so it required some drilling. It was annoying and I wish I had kept the first set I had initially, but oh well!

I also managed to remove my stock engine mounts, which I have been worried about for a while. Those bolts were really on there, but I managed to break them free! Those things are going straight in the garbage... they were smoked! Should be much better with the Cusco units.

I was able to start tearing into the wiring a bit so that I can start sorting out and cleaning that up. I'm probably going to remove some of the stuff that I don't need, but I am no wiring expert- the main reason for doing this is to get the wiring organized and out of the driver's side wheel well to avoid rubbing. I hammered a bit more of the metal lip on that side as well to try to help with this issue.

I'm not sure if the fuse boxes will be tucked or not. It's a lot of wiring and time to be getting into at this point. If Shane can give me a hand with cleaning the wiring up, I'll get as much out of the fenders and engine bay as I can.

Here's how she sits. I started adding screws to the side skirts to secure them under the car, so I'll probably finish that up next. Other than that, I'll be cleaning up the pay and painting the strut tower rust and battery tray to be ready for the engine to drop back in!

I'm booked for the next two weekends, but should be able to spend the weekend after that dropping it back in. I will shoot for sooner of course, but I am guessing that is how things will go!
