My car's new favorite place...and some of it's toys
Sup guys, My buddy Just finished hooking up electrical to his shop and my car now has a new favorite spot, as well as a new lease on life because I can finally work on her properly.
yessir... equipt with a built NA 240SX KA24 and matching trans and 280zx brakes. this thing was built to win shows and races.
funny story though. we took it out after the pics and got stranded because the front brakes locked up for reasons we dont yet understand.
Ah! Thought so. The '71 510 was the 1st car I ever owned/bought.
$550.00, 1600cc motor, auto trans, dual point distributor-stock.
I converted it to 4 speed manual, header, twin Zenith side drafts from a 240Z and custom intake manifold. The 510 even came with fully independent rear axles ,stock.
I envy you with a nicely equipped place to take your car.
yeah, my buddy had to get that car from cali. its jsut about the only place in the US where they are still around. he bought it basically as you see it there becuse he wasnt able to get parts for it on the east coast.

Very Nice Rob, lucky you...I still want and love that Challenger! Does your buddy still have that Turbo Toyota 4wd pickup?
Russ, Maybe you know about this. I had a buddy in the USAF that had a 510 sss.....always said it was Very Rare, and it was pretty quick.
That's about all I can tell ya, because I wasn't much into "foreign" cars back then
No, didn't know that. I loved that car.
It served me well for 8 yrs after the rebuild, bored the block .040 over and the other Mods.
Except for the pic Bigbird posted, I haven't seen one since I left the islands.
congratz man...once schools over my car will be on four jacks glad your is properly hoisted! snf loving that challenger! call me old schoollove my old american muscle cars!
