After the untimely demise of my inches-away-from-being-finished gen3.5 Camry/Scepter I went for 7 months on foot. My inlaws finaly took pitty on my wife and got us a beater 95 corolla as a commuter car so she wouldn't have to drive me to and from work every day
I've had the car since xmas and so far I've replaced the right front spindle and bearing (full knuckle), both front rotors and pads, the head gasket, valve cover gasket, plug seals, plugs, wires, tires, flushed everything, added a kenwood 600w amp, a fosgate 10" dvc sub, custom mounted a kenwood headunit and kenwood 3-way 6x9's in the rear, jdm grill, done a jdm H4 conversion, shaved the rear designation emblems and dropped it on coilovers.
Next weekend its time for some new motor mounts, interior shampoo/deep cleaning, pin stripe removal and wiring up switched drl/city lights.
Future plans... tranny overhaul or a manual swap.

...when I got it tho it barely ran and the right front wheel bearing was so bad the wheel was about to fall off, the pads wore a groove in the rotor +2mm deep, the valve cover and head gaskets were pretty much non existant and the motor mounts are all on their way out.
What you don't see is the hundreds of to-the-metal gouges and dents along the side from the last owner and a child seat and all the rusted rock chips and dents in the hood.
Luckily I come equipped with tools and a friend who is a second gen junk man
