I got hit my a minivan last night while out on my bike. I'm fine just bruised up (hit the hood of the van and flipped over the hood. I hit my left shoulder and head on the ground and the van). The only damage was a long scratch on the hood of the van and my bike is a little messed up now:

Easy fix

I just thought I'd let you guys know and I hope no one here has it happen to them.

Damn that sux. I'm glad it has never happen to me though. I've had many close encounters when i worked as a bike messenger though. Atleast u'r frame or wheels didn't get bent or u get broken.

sad to hear, but i sure hope there wasNOT a side walk bc personally i cant stand bikers who ride in the street when there is a perfectly fine sidewalk

do you think you can sue the driver?

my friend almost got run in with a mini van. he was riding his bike then suddenly the van pull out of the driveway very fast and my friend cant stop in time and crash into the van lightly. the driver of the van got out and scared, so he gave all the infomation about him to my friend. the driver said that call him if he is hurt. well, my friend didnt call him because he wasnt injured and his bike isnt damage so he let the guy go...
