Excuse the thumb-prints on the last picture, I haven't had time to clean my car in a week or so.
The DIN mount I made out of lexan, beyond that there's not much else to really say about it. I'm pretty pleased with the results, it looks rather clean now.
The eyelids are fiberglass and are 2 layers thick, so they still are flexible enough that fitment wouldn't be an issue. I put maybe 30 hours into the eyelids between the actual molding, curing, spot puttying, filler primering, sanding, painting, compounding and waxing.
I'll have better 'daytime' pictures of the eyelids up soon. Let me know what you think

thanks guys, the DIN mount only took a couple hours to make, just a bit of measuring a bit of cutting and assembling. The biggest PITA of the mount was finding a good epoxy/adhesive to get a firm hold on the lexan. It turns out 'perfect glue 2' fit the bill quite well.
As far as the eyelids go, I really like the look they give the car, it kind of sets the whole thing off.
thanks, prnc.
I made them myself. I would offer to do another set for someone, but the price would likely be too expensive considering all the hours it took to get them where they are now (and I still could use to go over them once more).
Eyelids look good. DIN trim piece does not, imho. I would try to make something of one piece that covers the sides of the radio and the sides of the S-AFC. Try ABS, something with a texture not so different than the dash, rather than plexi.
hawkeye, the texture is the same as the dash.
Making a one piece U bracket and DIN mount would be way too much of a PITA than it's worth. Making a one piece unit wouldn't be possible out of anything shy of fiberglass. There's too many bends involved.
calm down, guys, it has been raining like crazy the last couple days. right now it's dry, but I have to go reregister for school, so when I get back if it's still dry I'll get some pics. I still need to go over the one, I put a small thumb print in it accidentally.
