that's right, just a bunch of selections, filled in with the brush, on a LOT of different layers (easily 50+), merged together, to create a simple object, like a mirror...
what makes my toons look so much like the real thing is the time and effort i spend on it...
i'd write a turtorial but there's nothing to really write, so im sorry for those hoping for a great drawing tutorial, like Xpeeds, but there's just nothing to really draw....
if i did anything, it woulnt be a tutorial, just a walk through, but 90% of the steps are just like the pic above...
of course, after this, ill be taking requests to toon cars, so let me know...

If you don't mind, here's an alternative approach that I took:
I did this in Macromedia Flash MX. Because I don't have Photoshop (just Paint Shop Pro, which suits my needs decently), I found drawing the lines and contours in Flash to be easier. This was my first attempt, so there are imperfections and corners cut here and there (the black really hides it, lol). The gold crosslaces wheels were the most finicky part, but I got through it.
Razo's technique seems to be much more neat and tidy, and in the end, looks hawt
ufoz ill try it , but dont laugh when u get it back and i looks like a sentra give me intill monday , i should have time on the weekend, kind busy over the weeknihts
depends, if i work on it, a couple of days, if i get lazy, months (i dont work on it every day)
unfortunately, these take too much time and effort for me to continue doing them for free, so after i finish Jetspeed's, im gonna start charging, the way Xpeed does...
but what i charge wont be close to how much it's actually worth, but i need mod-money!
