i am begining to find it funny that toyota tuners are having to turn to a 4 door econemy car for moding...i may be crazy though

As opposed to what? Civics and ELs, Mazda 3s and Protoges, Neons and other J-bodies? Most of those are 4 doors, or 2 door variants of a 4 door car. It only follows the trend of getting a cheap car to go fast.
