If you've never been to Frankfurt's auto show before, you will have a hard time understanding just how big it is. Spread across nine buildings, it's the biggest car show in the world by a fair margin.

Today, the first press day, saw the introduction of cars like the new Mercedes S-class, Kia Magentis, Lamborghini Gallardo roadster, BMW Z4 coupe, Bentley Azure, and VW Golf R32. More pics tomorrow, but here's a random sampling of amusing images, most of which were taken away from the crazily packed press conferences.
