fuel filter

Ok fellas I'm a newbie on here, I'm just doing a post for my friend,, He doesn't know how to use a forum.. I'm usually on the audiworld forum...


Well anyway He has a 2000 solara V4,, he needs to change the fuel filter! where is it located? how much? and how hard is it to change on my own?

Im not sure if this applies to your year, BUT there is an odd, U shaped metal cover over the top connection. You gotta pop that off first by squeezing and pulling at the same time.
Then the fuel line connection is held on by a little plastic thimble-shaped clip. Hopefully your new filter comes with new clips.
The clip can be tricky to pop off unless you have fingers like michale jackson or ET so it may be easier remove the air filter box first. Have some good light for sure. i popped mine off by using a very small slot screwdriver or needlenose and and push in through the square slot at the same time. Hard to explain but youll understanad when you see it. Then the fuel line just pops out Watch out for squirting fuel1
