Passenger Headlight Out

recently my passenger hid went out and i found that one of the cables was rubbing against something hot and seared the cable down to a point where it can no longer hold electrical current...

and now i have removed the bulb and ballast to send back to have it replaced and threw in a stock halogen bulb and now that light doesn't turn on at all...

i checked the plug and its fine and then i checked the fuse and it appeared to be just fine...anyone know what is going on with this???

Good news and Bad news!

Good news: if the cable is damaged in only a short section i.e. 2" or so you can cut that piece out, solder a new piece on and put heat shrink tubing to weather proof it.

Bad news: if you choose to go with a new harness, you will pay well over $100-150 as a guesstimate.
