Gen1 Go Fast Parts

Has there been a group buy on any go fast goodies for the Gen 1 Sol's recently? I am looking into getting a Greddy Evo2 catback and an Injen Short Ram. I have not been able to find an Injen Short Ram with CAI extension anywhere! Do you guys know where I could find one? Also if I am to get a set of Tein S. Tech's, would it be wise to get some Tokico struts? What would be the need for them?

Injen Short Ram intakes are everywhere. The cai is avaliable as well, you can either get it from Injen or from me. I make my own and I have peeps that can vouch for my designs. For suspension Teins/Tokicos is a good setup the front 1.7 and the rear 1.4. Pretty good drop, personally if I could I would do a tein front drop and a rear eibach drop to have a very sleek look. And the finally answer to your question why you would need High Performance shocks is because they last longer and are better than OEM ones. If you drop your car with stock struts they will blow out quickly and your ride quality will be very uneasy and DANGEROUS, especially at high speeds or turning.

P.S. My advice, don't get the Exhaust until your absolutely sure that's the ONLY thing your gonna do to the complete system. Meaning if you happen to want a set of header then I suggest you wait until you get that then do the exhaust to save labor costs down the road. For pics on the custom cai extension check out my car domain.

Good Luck,
Calvin

Exhaust install is easy to DIY. Same with the intake. Try eBay, just beware the cheapo short ram knockoffs. I have the tein/tokico combo. The reason for getting struts at the same time is (1) work better with the shorter springs and improve dampening/handling over stock struts (2) save you time and money on a second install when your stock struts eventually wear.

Wink

You can hit up Under Pressure for the Injen SRI and CAI extension. Call RJ at (714) 890-5153, he does try and cater to SolaraGuy members.
