yes you can! Day time running lights are easily defeatable. To get TOTAL control of your headlights, do 2 things.

1. Under the hood, passenger side, right next to the fire wall, you will see a grey, 2-wire plug. This needs to be dissconnected.

2. You notice on the pasenger side dash there is a redish globe. Remove the glove box and push that up. Disconnect the 2-wire plug attatched to it.

DONE you now have 100% control of your headlights

HAVE FUN!

How hard is it to remove the glove box?

its actually very simple. Remove the kick panel. there will be three screws along the bottom of the glove compartment. open the door to the glove and there are 2 more screws.

you actually dont have to remove the glovebox

just get a flathead screwdriver put a little tape on the tip so you dont scratch anyting and pull the likke globe ting up....disconnect and tie the two pices together with a peice of string or zip tie.....in all takes maybe 13 secs

Just unplug the sensor inside the engine bay on the passenger side. This will disable the day running lights.

If you want them fully disabled, also pop out the globe sensor on the dashboard on the passenger side and disconnect that plug also.....then you'll have full control of when your headlights are on & off.

So what happens then when you just unplug the sensor in the engine bay? Does this mean that there are no day running lights but that they still do come on automatically when its not light out? Or do you have to control them manually 100%?

^^^^ Thats correct. If you only disconnect the gray plug in the engine bay the DRLs will not come on until nightfall. I have mine set like that and haven't had a problem.
