Best drop for COMFORT?

2000 Solara is my girl's car, and it HAS GOT TO BE LOWERED. She's concerned about the ride quality, so I have got to keep that in mind. But I'm concerned with the most drop possible. Coilovers are out of the question, I'm thinking Intrax or Tein...

Does ANYBODY have Intrax coils on their Solara? If so, did you need a camber kit? Happy with the drop and ride comfort?

None of the lowering springs for the solara drop it enough to need a camber kit, tho you will need an alignment. Im riding on eibachs and I dont find the ride harsh at all.

yeah i got eibachs as well & the ride isn't too harsh to me but i got 19s too! I'll be switching to coilovers for a lower drop in the future.

Im riding on Tein S-Techs and I hardly feel the difference from stock. You can also put on the Tein H-Techs which are the new luxury brand. You only get like a 1 inch drop from it though, but its supposed to be more confortable than the S-Techs.

If you just wanna get rid of the wheel gap get the Tein H-techs (1 inch all around).

If your going for a more aggressive ride go with the Eibach's that lower the car 1.6 all around or the Tein S-techs (1.7 front, 1.4 rear).....or you can always get coilovers.

All the advice above is right on point for ya. I personally had the Eibachs, and the H-techs would be great as well.

I'm looking too, I decided that the solara is going to be my daily driver, it needs to be dropped. Comfort is very important but i want the car to look good too. I don't want to go any more than 1.5 all around, so i need the Solara Guru's to enlighten me.

Frescobob: What is your setup exactly? What was your cost, if you don't mind. Thanks.

Do you have a pic of how the car looked like with the H- techs? or the Eibach? Which one did you like better?

This is my boy Cdeez' solara on Eibach and tokico struts...

This is my old solara on Tein-S and TRD struts...

And this was it on JIC Coilovers...

All sitting on 19s... my opinion, the eibach/trd springs are the best.... (if not going for COs)

Im looking for a pic now, i actually did the struts all the way around and the springs in the front. I had quite the heave enclosure in the back that made the springs sag enough, ImTweakInit should have some current pictures of my car since he is the new owner.

I liked the more aggressive slope as well. I felt that the rears would tuck too much.

Anybody have a Tein S coil/KYB strut setup? That's what I'm leaning towards because of the price... Any feedback would help.
