Solara Alarm System

I have a new 06' Solara with a KARR alarm I did not activate. The car has remote access. I am told the key has a chip in it. How easy is this car to steal if I do not activate the KARR alarm? Does this alarm help in any way if parked with top down? Chris (AKA) moxonpaint at hot mail dot com

My question is... Since you do have an alarm already installed, whats preventing you from activiting it?

I'm sure its an added security if you do use the alarm system... shoot, why not?

Price

I have not activated the KARR alarm because Toyota wants $800. I was hoping I could gte it activated at a lesser cost or see if the alarm is necessary at all.
