Remote wire

This may be a stupid question but Im pretty new to this... Im running a line out converter to my amp to avoid changing out my factory radio. My question is what about the remote wire? Can I simply run it to my fuse box with say a "add a fuse" and a toggle switch if so what size fuse should I run it off of? Im running a 400 watt rms 800 watt max amp. If anyone can help it would be greatly appriciated! Thanks/.

i would just run it to the fuse box and use a 5 amp fuse on it
just make sure it has power in the on position
then you wouldn't need a toggle switch
