Planning to put new rims on gen2

Does anyone know if there is anything special that need to be done when you change from stock rims to an aftermarket rim? Does it affect the air pressure sensors when you change rims? Is there something that needs to be removed/installed on rims? Thanks.

No the Air Sensor is not in the wheels itself, like the 350Zs' so you will be okay. Also what type of wheels are you looking for? Are you lowered?

I have a set Xenex (Axis) Muse 19's that i had on my previous camry. Want sure how it worked on the solara cause Gen 5 camry had no tire monitor. I am planning to drop it though, was sure what springs to buy. Had TRD on camry and wasn't to happy with the ride. I think there might be some out there with a close to stock ride. Do you have any suggestions on what type of springs. Love the way your ride looks on 20's. Should be get some for my avalon soon. Thanks Posh

You'll be fine as long as all 4 tires are inflated the same and same dia. The monitor just measures revolutions and can tell when 1 tire is low from that.

Cool. I always thought there was something inside the rims that needed to be removed.

350z have that, My BF had to take the sensor off of his stock wheels and have them mounted on the rims he threw on his Z.
