Hawks brake pad too thick?

I'm trying to replace my OEM worned brake pad with the new Hawks performance pad and seems like the rear pads are too thick for the caliber to close propely. Any suggestion? I have the piston pushed in all the way already. Help!

If you must use these pads and dont want to return them, the only way is to sand down the lining. I'd use emery cloth and a flat flat surface, put the emery cloth on the flat surface and rub the lining across it. Go slowly and ya wont take off too darn much lining. I'd also wear a paper dust mask too, for sure.
