What tires are on your 2005 Solara?

Hello! I have a 2005 Solara Convertible SLE, and I'm trying to find out what tires were originally on it. I have already replaced them once, but don't like the new ones as much. I only have another 5000 miles to go before they need replacing again. I really liked the tires that came from the factory, and would like to buy them again. I just can't remember what they were. I know there is a possibility that there were several different brands of tires used on them, but I thought I might remember what they were if someone mentioned it. Could you please post what kind of tires your 2005 Solaras have? Thanks so much! Still loving this car!!!

Idea

I believe most Solaras come with Bridgestone Potenza RE40s? . I personally love the Yokohama Avid H4s. I've owned MANY different brands including Pirelli, Michelin, Goodyear, Dunlop, etc and these are the best I've come across. Jon.

Toyo Proxes?

Thanks for the post! I also asked some folks on ebay, who were selling 2005 Solaras, what tires were on their cars. So far I've gotten Toyo Proxes and Michelin. The Toyo Proxes sounds familiar to me. Someone else thinks it is the Bridgestone tires that were on my car. So the Yokohama's are good, huh? I'll check into those as well. Thanks again for the reply. If anyone else can reply, too, that would be very helpful to me!

I had the Toyos for my originals on a 04 SE Sport. Winter traction was terrible.

I changed to Firestone Firehawk LH in 235-50-17 and both winter and especially dry traction greatly improved. For the summer I run 18" Enkeis with Goodyear off brand Essenza tires in 235-45-18. Traction is awesome and fits perfectly in the wheel wells with TRD springs.

I have a 2006 SE convertible. It has the original tires on it which are Bridgestones. They have been great so far. I have put 25K on them. I am thrilled because when I bought the car, my dealer was offering "tires for life".

my 06 came with Bridgestone Potenza RE92. Really horrible in the winter, small patch of ice or snow and I'm gone (called tow trucks couple times to pull me out). 5K miles on the car and I with I can trade the tires with some tirest with better snow traction. If you don't get snow, the bridgestone is fine.

I have an '06 SLE convertible that came with Bridgestone 215/55/17s

I hate the stock tires as much as Bin Laden - but I'm saving my $$ for 235/35/20's to go on Foose rims later this Summer.
