TRD rim and smooth ride

hey guys,

if you can remember way back when toyota first released the solara and there were a whole bunch of trd parts. of course they were all made for the v-6 which was f****** bs. One of those parts were some TSW revo rims 17" (225 45 17 tires).

http://www.sportcompactcarweb.com/fe..._camry_solara/

i'll get back to the TSW rims in a second, bear with me.

i'm having some trouble with my 01 solara (lowered with eibach, body kit, trd rear-sway and fr strut, tokico struts, 18" rims w/ 225/40/18 tires);

every time i reach 65-70 my steering wheel vibrates like crazy and i get high vibrations in my car. i've already checked the balancing and alignment, both were fine except for the fact that the two front rims were noticably bent with the naked eye when it was on the balancing machine. no doubt, that the bent rims are my problem, but i had some shit brand 15" rim on when i bought the car and it was when i hit a pot hole that the vibration started.

simply i want a smooth ride and that's the real question, how do i do this?

i'm looking into some new rims Konig Next or Konig Reasons, leaning towards the Next (similar to what i have now).
Questions:
-17s or 18s? i have 18s now.
-225 45 17 (trd TSW) seems large and tirerack recomends 215 50 17, do you think that 225 45 17is the right size or should i follow tireracks recomendations?
-what is the perfect offset to extend the wheel out enough so that it doesn't look like it's wedged in?

I greatly appreciate any response.
Thank you.

Sorry a bit confused are you looking at getting the TSW Revo rims or just asking about size for 17"s

Every time I see someone wanting those TSW revo I try to talk them out of it those rims were not heat treated when they were made and bend very easy after some time... Alot of people had problems with these wheels, I too when I first got my car in 2000 went the local tire shop which is the biggest in Canada and wanted these wheels and they told me all the tsw wheels are not heat treated but as of the last few years the have changed and are now heat treated.

And about the tire size depends if you want a wider stance or not... both will fit no issues.

Ah, you're just asking if the 225 would fit better vs. the 215's x 45 x 17" I get it now

Side note: I really liked the style of those Revo's... I cant find nothing right now that looks stock, 6-spoke, and non-aftermarket like in 17's or 18's.
