Water Leaking Inside...

I went to my car the other day to literally find a puddle of water in the driver's footwell, as well as behind me in the backseat. The carpet is literally drenched - the water is not coming in from outside (as it has not rained in weeks), my beleif is that it is coming from the A/C unit somehow.

I don't know if the original water drain plug has been blocked and now the water is overflowing inside, but when I look under the car I can see the water droplets formed right under the driver/passanger side.
The other negative of this, is that I guess there are electrical wires running under the carpet and now with the water all my bulbs are shorting out!

Any help/info would be appreciated.
thanks.

Make sure it is not coolant water from the heater system. The A/C drain hose could be plugged, this seems to happen frequently. I think the drain hose going out the bottom is hidden a little. As such you might need to go under the car to see it. Try cleaning it out with a coat hanger wire, etc. If not either of these check the TN post on this subject at the end of these postings.

If its a 2004 and one of the first 6000 or so made there's a TSB out there.
If not then you are probably correct in your assumption. I.E. a leaky hose from the A/C. - Hope that helps

I have a 07 SLE V6 - imagine my surprise when at less than 500 miles I had water running into the car from the bottom of the door windows!! When it rained or I washed the car water would run into the car and accumulate in the car. Come to find out I need weatherstripping in the windows....there wasn't any....they had forgot!! So now it is on order.

Maybe this is your problem, wouldn't hurt to check.

Yes, thought the TSB said something about the vent flaps in the rear not working right allowing water to come into the car. Can’t remember the details.
