Check this out on ebay: http://cgi.ca.ebay.com/aw-cgi/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=593705997

I e-mailed the guy and this is what he said. Tell me if you guys think its legit or not:

"ok I install it in my Prelude and its increase by 5.3 HP and some car like Altima may increase up to 7.6 I have the dyno proff but I just cannot show you...I don't have scannners. And the worst case like Civic Si its only gain 3.4 HP but on the average you getting more than 6 and cannot be more than 11 HP .... well this muffler can reduce the back flow, and less restriction.

You know how much HP can you gain if you buy my freflow 5 Zigen ? you gain at least 7 HP (japan car with manual) AT LEAST but it is LOUD !"

I know Jeff will have something to say here... Shed some light on the situation please.

This is another tricky question to answer. The HP gain result varies car by car. Remember you're talking about JUST an muffler upgrade. With a S/C you probably will gain 7-11 hp from any mufflers out there because it's forced induction.

I would make a guess that 5hp MAX is all you will get from JUST the muffler with the 1MZ-FE engine.

Yes his e-mail that I posted up there indicated that... it varied depending on what car it was installed on... 3-7 HP out of 4cyl engines though.

Since you're more interested in looking at HP gains here, why don't you think about getting the headers from Brospeed? I'm sure the headers themselves will give you more than the gain you're going to get from a new cat-back and muffler upgrade.

Thinking about getting the turbo kit... headers would be a waste and I don't want to bother selling them after.

But turbo still looks a little unstable... if they don't come out with a solid kit real soon I might just get headers.

But exhaust will have to be done either way.

Unlikely. Maybe a complete cat-back system will give you that.

even the muffler from TRD..said to give your car a 4-5 hp gain..meaning solara's and camry's...
but it has been dynoed, and the camry that put on a TRD as compared to the OEM muffler..actually lost power...so..it depends really..
i've gained power with my REMUS..but than again..that might vary from solara to solara..and how the engine is taken care of..
my 2 cents..
