Solara - Rough Idle from cold, progress into misfire/lack of power

Several weeks ago, my 99 Solara with 125K started to experience a rough idle in drive mode when cold. This has progressively got worse into random misfiring and lack of power on hard excelaration. I changed the plug wires and plugs, replaced the fuel filter and idle control valve. I suspected bad gas, so I tried an additive in tank, which also didnt work. Check engine flashes and produces P1300. I was advised that the injectors may be possibly blocked, but not convinced because the car runs smoothly when warm and not driving hard. Car idles okay, when warm. When engine is warm from idle, upon snaping throttle, misfire is detected. Potential coil failure? If so, would I experience a misfire on 2 cylinders (wasted spark system) Any other ideas welcome. I have thrown parts at the car, and dont really feel confident about the next move. Thanks.

Problem

Did you ever figure you the problem for your car. I have a 2000 Solara 4cyl and am experiencing the similar thing. I have had codes P0301 and P0300 come up. I have a rough idle most of the time but especially when its cold. I have changed the plugs, coil, Injector, and have run fuel cleaner through the system. Someone told me that maybe the ECU could be an issue in these cars? Anyways if you can let me know what happen to your car and maybe any ideas on my car would be great. Thanks.

Spark plug wires.

I've experienced this in two other Camry 4 cylinders. It'll drive fine under light acceleration but once you give it gas, it will require more "spark"... spark that can't travel through worn wires--thus the misfiring or feeling like its driving on half the cylinders.

If you're over 100k, you're well over due.

Spelling

Why can't anybody in this thread spell?

Have you fixed it? I am having the same problem with a 1MZ. Drove it with a scanner hooked up and had 2 and 4 misfire. Switched the ignition coil and moved the idle misfire from 1 to 5. It all started after a fill-up, though, so I'm a little suspicious. May try some 93 and a fuel system cleaner...
