Hi everyone, just wanted to ask a question with regards to the 2004 Camry & Solara colors. The new Solara is now available and one of the colors is Arctic frost pearl (pearl white), does anyone know if the 2004 Camry sedan SE V6 is available or will be available (perhaps 2005) in the same color? I'm in Canada keep in mind & all we can get up here is a regular flat white but I love the pearl white color & we have no "limited edition" either. Is that something I can "specially" request if I factory order the car? or should I be patient and maybe that color might be offered in the 2005 model year? Any suggestions or thoughts are appreciated. Thanks!

well the new limited editon camry is only avail in that *different* white... but i dont know how pearly it is... looks like its a creamy off white.....
I know and I agree it's not really a pearl white as such. Perhaps if the Solara sells well in the Arctic Frost color, then maybe Toyota will consider adding it as a color choice for the Camry sedan... well one can only hope at least.

Canadian Camry's won't come in the limited edition unfortunately & I'm honestly not 100% sure if the limited edition model is available with the 3.3L V6 or not!?

Well, I appreciate your opnion, but I think the current Camry white is a rather flat & sorry to say a cheap looking white. Let's put it this way, if the flat white camry was put beside my Maxima (pearl white) or a Lexus ES 300 or 330 also pearl white, you would know what I mean......the pearl white is just classier & add's a little extra something to a vehicle. The Solara will look sharp once there out on the road & Toyota should offer it for the Camry sedan as well.

I like to call it Government Contract White, as opposed to "cheap," although that may be saying the same thing. Actually, over the years, I've owned two cars with GCW (by this I really mean the solid, non-metalflake or pearl white). If you like it, buy it. If not, don't. I finally gave up on them because they generate too much glare/reflection off the hood down here in the sunny south. At least that's my opinion. They do reflect away a lot of solar heat though. If you don't believe that's significant, park a black car in the sun for an hour in Miami, in late July. That'll make a white car believer out of you. . . Personally, I just got tired of my car making sunglasses mandatory. My new 2003 Cam is Catalina Blue. Love it, looks fantastic on a sunny blue sky day.
Yes the Altima is a Pearl white....and up close to a "government white" as it's put (good choice of words by the way) there is a huge difference in a flat white & a pearl white. The blue that you mention is quite nice as well, however sadly it was only available on the 2002 Camry here in Canada. I'm also considering the Phantom Grey pearl as well which I think looks sharp! However, I just wish I had the choice to at least have the option to select a pearl white Camry SE V6. But them's the breaks I guess..... Anybody know if the Phantom Grey pearl is a fairly easy color to keep clean & not show the dirt too much?

my mom has phantom gray on her 02 camry, and it's a nice color. very close in color to my rsx as a matter of fact. It doens't show dirt very much, and looks very nice in the sun imo.
