Leaks

This is getting ridiculous. 5 trips to the dealer and still leaks in under the mirrors somehow. Its an 06 convertible and its making my life hard. I expect it to leak a little but this thing leave puddles. Any ideas on a fix or what did you have done to yours. Wifey was told by the salesman that "The convertibles of today do not leak". Now she is driving a car that she bought on her own and she is PI$$ED.

You should not accept the comment from the Toyota salesman. Cars are not SUPPOSED to leak, but obviously yours is. Go back to the dealer. Have them run a hose over the convertible top while you and a tech sit inside. If there's a leak obviously there will be signs of it. My Solara had a door lock problem which they couldn't find even after five tries. They only believed me when I got locked in in their parking lot. Go back and bitch. Good luck.

Leakage around the mirrors shouldn't have anything to do with the convertible top (they're not even close to each other). Maybe there's supposed to be a gasket between the mirror and door that's missing?

I agree with the other forum member, hit the area around the mirror with spray from a garden hose (not a pressure washer) while someone is inside the car and see if you can track down the waters path into the car.

If it's the top leaking and not the mirror you can adjust the top so it latches a little tighter.

Cheers
