Maintenance Light!! Help!!!!

My maintenance light on my Solara 2007 SLE convertible just started to go on whenever I start the car in very cold weather. After I pull out of the garage and ride for 1 block, it goes off. I get a free oil change every 5000 miles, the car has 4600 miles. Should I wait 5 more days to the free oil change or get one right now and pay for it?

don't worry...you are fine...change the oil every 5k miles or so...that light starts to do that at about 4,500 miles or so, it's a reminder that you are approaching time to change the engine oil...it's just a new thing they started in 2005...once you get the oil change done you have to reset it if the dealer doesn't or wherever you get it done...in order to reset it...follow there steps...

1) you have to put the car on the "ON" position...
2) press & hold the trip meter button (make sure it's in ODO & not one or the Trips)...
3) put the key in the "ACC" position (make sure you don't let go of the trip meter button)...
4) put the key bock into the "ON" position...
it then should show you dashes that will increase one by one like "-", then "--"...& so on until "-------", then it will show you "000000", that will reset it...just every time you get the oil changed, just make sure you do that so it doesn't blink on you...

Thank you so much. I've made an appointment for next Saturday to change the oil by Toyota service for free! They also said to me not to worry, this is normal @4500 miles.
