toyota decal on front plastic grill

The front grill of my 2006 solara sle was hit by a car backing up at a stop light. The plastic grill is "intact", but the silver decal Toyota logo has gone missing. I could not find it where I was hit, but I wonder if you can just replace it with a new one or is a whole new plastic front grill necessary. It looks as though you can just pop a new metal decal into the slot and it should clip in without uninstalling the grill cover. If so, what is the actual part called, and where can I order this without too much trouble?

Thanks.

the photo from the toyota website which shows the black car, it's the silver decal on the front of the plastic grill cover that I am talking about. Do I need to buy a whole new grill?

if you can find someone to sell you their emblem you can do that... The dealer may sell the emblem but it will cost an arm and a leg.

try ebay, they have emblems on there:

uh ohhooo

thats exactly what I need, however, I just went out to look under the hood, and it seems that the middle rod that this plastic grill is mounted on is bent, and the screw fell out into the bumper. It looks bent beyond my strength to bend it back, and the grill is cracked at the bottom under where it meets the bumper, but a simple logo will "cosmetic" take care of the problem, but there is more than meets the eye. I plan to drive this car a lot more miles, and thus this minor damage is not significant, should I not take care of it propmptly, and if so, should I go to the toyota dealer or get a quote from a collision shop nearby? I guess I can buy my own parts to avoid the huge mark up, but install is going to take a chunk of change, right?

SS,

I'd let the other drivers insurance take care of it if they did indeed back into you. In most states you can choose the shop to do the repairs (your Toyota dealer would probably farm the work out).

So, get a couple of repair estimates from different shops, submit them to the other drivers insurance company and get er' fixed OR take the insurance check, buy the parts you need, do the work yourself and pocket the labor charges.
