08 with Nav. needs BackUp Camera

Are there any good backup camera systems that work with this 08 Nav. ?Would like to view backup in Nav. screen when in reverse. Camera mounted by license plate.

The BEC105 is the camera most recommended by those with nav units on Solaraguy. Judging from posts there the camera is a simple plug and play BUT I only see posts for nav units through '06. You'll want to be sure there's actually a reverse camera port on your later model.

On my recent trip to Arizona the toyota dealer informed that a company there, Kar-Tunes(480) 649-5101 has installed them on 08 Avalons with nav.$950. Check it out and let me know.

There may be a cheaper way to go. I just bought a new '08 which has a dealer-installed censor (sic) system that beeps if something is behind the car when you put it in reverse. I don't know the cost because it was on the car when I bought it and wasn't on the sticker.

You should go to Solaraguy.com and read what was said about back up cameras. They talked about using inexpensive after market cameras and mounting it in the trunk key hole since everyone has remote entry. Just a thought.
