I checked 34 pages of forums and read a few related issues. My 2002 Solara 4 cyl. has a noisey rattle at idle then sqelches at acceleration. Runs fine but, sheesh the noise. Been using penetrating oil to reduce the sqelch. If tensioner pulley, can just I replace the pulley and bearings only (its attached with a bolt) or do I have to get the whole tensioner? Could it be belt slippage? Or possibly something else? Water pump is not leaking. Thanks!
