2005 Solara w/ Navigation - Installation of Sirius Satelite?

I have a 2005 Solara SLE with navigation. Since I purchased it new, I've been dealing with the poor sound quality using an FM modulator. I would prefer to avoid dealing with the dealer on this as I'm not confident in their work.

A buddy of mine sent me a link to the following (I hope links are acceptable, but if not moderator please remove)

http://www.tss-radio.com/toyota-siri...a16d50164edf26

Based on the installation guide from that unit, it appears to be a relatively simple installation. However, I would appreciate any and all input from those who may have done this or looked into it. Based on the IPOD thread below, it looks like people are pretty well versed in accessing the back of their audio units. Does the information in that thread also apply to the navigation unit? Is it better to access the back of the unit via removal of the storage versus removal of the navigation? Is removing the navigation even an option?

Thanks so much for any input, it is greatly appreciated!

Tim

Satellite Install Instructions

I can send you a .pdf file of the installation instructions. The hardest part for me was removing the passenger door kick panel without breaking the plastic clips. Trust me...if I can do this, anyone can.

Send me your email address.

Hi,
I am another new Solara owner - a 2007 SLE convertible with Navigation. I was told it is "satellite ready".
I assume I will need this unit also. I'd like the PDF file also if possible. I'll send a PM with email address.
Thanks so much,
Judy
