ok... i don't think my question was clear...

1.) will a 04-06 solara nav go into a 08 solara
2.) does the 04-06 solara nav have bluetooth
3.) will this be a quick plug and play mod?

hope this helps...

Couple things about the nav systems. You need to allready have an existing JBL radio system with the amp and stuff. If you don't it will not work and it definatly won't be plug and play. the 04-06 nav will fit as far as physical dimensions. I don't know about the bluetooth or what not but i think the units are the same. You also would want the nav buttons on the stearingwheel aswell.

With all due respect, are you serious? If you start messing with the dash/radio/electronics on an 08, you stand a very good chance of screwing up your new car warrenty. Toyota's are great cars, but things happen. You don't want Toyota denying a claim because you had the dash apart. My 05 had some radio problems and they replaced it under warrenty. I'm sure they wouldn't have done that if I had played around with it. If you really want a nav. system or bluetooth, get an aftermarket unit that is removable. But be very careful, there have been quite a few stolen, cars damaged, etc. Thieves have been looking for mounting brackets and even the circle they leave on the windshield.

Bookworm,

Familiarize yourself with the Magnusson-Moss Warranty Act. It's been the law since the early 1980's but dealers like to pretend it doesn't exist. In essence it says a warranty claim can 'not' be denied unless the claim is due to damage caused by the owner of the product.

Ergo, if the owner crosses some wires and fries his/her harness while installing a new radio then they're out of luck 'but' if a nav system is installed in place of the OEM radio and a problem with the vehicle can't be traced directly to that modification then the warranty claim is valid.

Read all about it here: http://www.ftc.gov/bcp/conline/pubs/.../warranty.shtm

Cheers
