Low tire pressure light on and off

i have a 04 solara. I just replaced all 4 tires of my car. However the low tire pressur elight turns on upon changing, i went in and found out its a valve stem. So got that fixed, and now the low tire pressure lights will turn on after 5-10 min of driving and then turn itself off after another 5 min and never turn on again. I checked the tire pressure and everything is up to specs. ~30 pisg on a 29 psig tires (dont know will 1 psig over specs will cause problem) Do anyone know whats wrong?

If you read your users manual about changing tires and the tire pressure system. You need to recalibrate it every time you change your tires. Once you have verified they are at the correct pressure, turn on your car and hold down the tire pressure button under the dash untill the TPM light flashes a few times and then turns off. At that point it will relearn it's known good values.

well the 04 solara measures wheel rotation on all 4 wheels, and if they aren't lined up with their known good values, it throws the light. So the spair is not needed. Perhaps you improperly reset the system, you can try resetting it again (you need to hold it down for like 30 seconds when the car is not moving) if that doesn't fix it, then perhaps you have a faulty sensor (but that's a streatch)

Are you sure you're actually resetting the warning system? If you just push the button and don't hold it in you'll turn the light off, that's all.

Push the button, hold several seconds until the light blinks 'then' you've reset the system. The system will 'assume' your tire pressures at that moment are correct even if one side is far different from the other so be sure your cold pressures are correct and are the same (on the same axle) before resetting.

Cheers,
Gadget
