Although this is for my Lexus and all Lexus are cleared the same way it will probably work for you as well.
1. Key to all.
2. Odo on mileage.
3. Turn key off.
4. Hold trip reset button in and turn key on. Will get ------ dashes where the mileage was.
5. Keep holding in until all dashes are gone.

Maint light is gone. Let us know if it works for you.

Good luck.

I can't remember if all these steps are needed in this order, but i did this the other night. key out of socket, open driverside door, wait 5 seconds, close driverside door. Push and hold ODO button on dash, while holding button, put in key and turn to on (don't start the engine), Watch ODO LCD and it should go from ----- down to nothing, then it will go to your normal milage. Release the button and turn the engine on. Your maint light will be cleared.

JS,

Give it another try, that method 'is' what you're supposed to do to clear the Solara maintenance light.

Be certain the odometer is showing 'total mileage' not one of the trip mileage counters.

In addition to a 'how to' for clearing the light you'll find some other items that might come in handy on the "tips" page here: http://gadgetjq.com/solara/

Cheers,
Gadgetjq

I retried the procedures by campfire9 and the 'maint' light went outThe first time I tried it, I had the drivers door open. I don't know if it had anything to do with the procedure not working the first time but this time I closed all the doors first. Thanks for everyones help!
