dogbone mount

is the dogbone mount/torque strut mount for the 2002 solara L4 2.4 the same as the 2002 solara V6?

Since motor mounts are part of the noise/vibration/harshness tuning of a car/engine combination I doubt they're the same but hey, ya never know.

If you don't get a firm yes or no answer from the forum I'd suggest you stop by your Toyota dealer parts counter. Someone there can look the parts up for you in a few seconds and tell you whether it's the same number for both engines.

Go in prepared with online pricing for the 4 cylinder part (if that's what you really need) so you can ask if they'll meet the price (be sure to include shipping).

i actually inquired from a dealership and asked the price which is 87.35 and they say it's for the 4 cylinder so what i'm doing now is trying to search for outside vendors but it looks like most of the dogbone mounts are for V6.

can anyone suggest where i can find this part or even just the bushings for this part? doesn't matter if OEM or aftermarket at a reasonable price.

i actually find the dealership price expensive because i've seen one for around $40 but out of stock and others are for V6 so i'm not quite sure. if it's aftermarket bushings and good ones i don't mind spending extra bucks.

can i use a torque damper in place of the dogbone mount?

if yes, any suggestions where i can get one?

I am pretty sure they are different since superpro makes bushings for the dogbone mount and they sell different ones based on the engine in the car- v6 or i4. There is no aftermarket torque damper or anything, I think the bushings would be the best bet.

can anyone help me find a store online or local stores in houston area that carries superpro bushings for 02 solara 2.4 L4
