High Intensity Discharge Headlights HELP!!!

Okay so I bought my 08 convertible with these headlights - love the clarity - you can see at night incredibly...BUT>>>>> there is a distinct line at the top of the projection that is a "Hanging Tab" my best description is the metal frame the light sits behind was stamped metal and there is a tab that the light project through.....My husbands opinion is that this artifact is there because both lights are not level....so I'm in the dealership for 5K check up and ask and they say this line is NORMAL....I dont buy it??? Anyone out there with these??? sorta looks like this.

Jane,

It probably is one of those 'they all do that' items but it's simple enough to check. Go back to your Toyota dealer and take a look at the headlamps of other generation 2.5 (with hid) lamps. If they have the tab then, yep, it's normal. If not, haul the service manager out to compare that assembly with yours.

Cheers
