3rd Generation 99 Solara Check Engine Light Came Up With Code Po773

HELLO EVRYBODY.... THIS IS MY FIRST TIME IN THIS FORUM AND I CAME HERE BECAUSE NOBODY ELSE WHERE I LIVE AT CAN HELP ME.... A COUPLE WEEKS AGO THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME OUT... I TOOK IT TO AUTO ZONE AND THE CODE IS PO773... SOMBEDODY TOLD ME TO CHANGE THE TRANNY FLUID... AND THE LIGHT STILL COMING OUT.... I NEED SOME IDEAS... THIS CAR IS MY BABY AND I NEED SOME HELP TO FIX IT.... THE CODE COMES OUT AS A, SHIFT SILENOID E. WHATS THAT?
AND HOW CAN I FIX IT? HOW MUCH IS IT GOING TO COST? WHERE CAN I TAKE IT? .....THANKS EVERYDODY

If i remeber correctly that has to do with the torque converter lockup. Could be as simple as a piece of crud that got into the valve body, the solenoid itself or the torque converter clutch went bad.

3rd Generation

Try to find online a gen 4 Camry Service Manual. It should list the trouble code and the procedure to check to find out if the solenoid is bad. Either that, or get an alldata.com account for your car, it'll have most of the same information.
