02 se rear seat removal

Sorry for asking but can't find an active link to the shop manual. I'm trying to remove the lower part of the rear seats and can't find a release tab or anything. Any clue as to what the trick is?

You should be able to pull straight up on the front of the seat (at the base where it meets the floor). That will release spring clips and you can then pull the seat forward and lift out.

If the seat is really stubborn (mine was) use something thin wide and flat like the end of a pry bar (padded so you don't damage the upholstery) to lift the seat about a quarter of the distance from the side of the seat to the center. Once that clip is loose do the same on the other side.

Cheers
