No Roadside assistance

I was very surprised to find that my 2008 Solara convertible did not automatically come with roadside assistance (Unless I bought the expensive maintenance package). Do all Toyota's not come with roadside assistance? I know my old Lexus did. My wife's Impala does. It even had Onstar for a year! My old Ford 500 did and every car I have owned in recent years has. To be fair I don't remember ever having to use roadside assistance but it was convenient knowing that if I ventured away from home I would have help if I needed it

If you really think you'd need roadside assistance it can usually be added to your auto insurance policy inexpensively. Then again, it's a Toyota! The chance anything more serious than a flat tire will happen is slim to zilch. The Ford, on the other hand...notsomuch.
