2004 solara TPMS light on

I just had the tires replaced. The TPMS light is steady on and will not reset. All tire pressures including spare are equal @ 32psi. The light does not flash. Is there anything I can do or was something done wrong when the tires were changed? Any ideas?
Thanks

How did you reset it? Did you press and hold the switch down or did you just press the switch and let go?

You have to press and hold the switch until the light blink three times, then the car will need to be driven above 20 mph from 1/2 hour to an hour to completely reset it, but the light would have been off after the light blinking three times.

I held the switch down for over 1 minute, it never blinked. The reset switch identified in the manual looks different than the one I have on the lower dash, it is a black round button under a blank panel to the left of the steering wheel.

The switch is on the right side of the steering column, I think. It should look very much the same as the symbol and SET right next to it.

No, it is to the left just above the hood release. It is also interesting to note that there is a plug covering the reset switch, which I just found out. When I removed the cover the switch was underneath. Once I found that I tried it and the system works as advertised! Thanks for the help!

Great. I gave up on trying to remember where all those switches for the gadgets are located at, just some general idea is good enough for me.

Enjoy your ride, drive safe.

IT,

Just a little info on the pressure warning system for the '04 Solara. It doesn't actually read the tire pressures like the system in the Gen 2.5 does. The '04 uses the anti lock brake sensors to determine whether one side of the axle is turning faster than the other (based on rotation speed within a few miles of resetting the system). If it is then the light will come on because the slower turning side is, theoretically running with less air in it.

The '04 system also doesn't care about the pressure in your spare tire so air it up to whatever is recommended in your owners manual.

Cheers
