06 in dash nav ??

have an 06 convertible with the in dash nav system
have read the manual cover to cover and still having problems
1) will not allow you to change address while underway, only at complete stop
2) when typing in an address it will display several address options, non of which are the one Im looking for, will not let me fully type in the address

is there any way to overide these
thanks

BD,

Try this: Hit the "MENU" button (physical), then "Volume" (screen), then hit the speaker icon, the lower left corner of the screen, the speaker icon again, and the lower left corner of the screen again... should bring up a hidden page... click and hold on the "Override" button (screen) until you hear a beep.

The only bad news? This isn't a permanent fix; you'd have to do it everytime you start the car. The good news apart from the obvious? You don't have to do this before you start moving, i.e., you can invoke the override while you're moving.

The denso navigation system of which this is based on is setup as multiple zones. Since you cannot find the adress you are looking for, you are either using an old navigation disk and the street is new, or you have the wrong zone selected.
