A 3sgte will fit with some modification but after that i canot think of any engines other then the 1mzfe and 5sfe that would fit because they come stock with the car.

the new 2AZFE will fit too...that's the new 157hp 4cyl and it'd be a better turbo candidate. i don't know if i'd put a 3sgte in because it has no torque.

excuse me ?!?!?! NO torque ???? try US spec. 200hp / 200 torque and my J-spec 225hp / 230torque ... and thats out of a 4cylinder. Making a whole lot more torque than a certain engine with 2 more cylinders and 1.0 liter more of displacement. The 3S-GTE has alot more torque than your V6 chris...

ROFLMAO

If it wasn't Justin it would be me jumping on that "NO TORQUE" comment! HAHA I knew you'd come through!

But yeah, 3S-GTE has a helluva lot of everything!

My 3VZ-FE makes more torque @3000rpm than the 1MZ-FE, it doesn't take much to beat that engine!! LOL, J/K!!

yeah, but it's a 3L V6. i can't see how a 2L I4 can make more than 160lb-ft torque at the wheels. The S2000 has a 2L I4 and while it makes 240hp, it only makes 153lb-ft torque @7000 at the crank.

Well a S2000 engine is not a good example since its one of those engine you got to rev like a hoe to get any power out of.The 3sgte is a well tuned engine that gives power all over the power band not like honda engines that aim only for high reving top end power output.Yes a v6 will give more power at 2000rpm but after that the 3sgte will eat it for lunch and crap it out faster then you can say 1-2-3 .

havent you seen the spec's on the MR2 ... 160ft lbs of torque?!?!?! 170 to 180ft lbs of torque is what a 3S-GTE will put down at the ground...
