Angry Big Transmission problems...

Has anyone out there experienced any transmission issues with their four or six cyclinder Solaras...our 1999 Toyota Solara has gone through three transmissions, and the third one just went, and it only has 137,000 kms on it!!! We are currently at odds with Toyota Canada and the dealership who are simply washing their hands of the issue...does anyone have any suggestions or comments??

thanks for your reply..

We have the four cyclinder SE model and the first transmission went after 119,000 km with the differential seizing up because, as the shysters at the dealership stated..."something seized". The next was a used transmission (after a cost of $2800.00) that lasted approximately 5 months and 8000 km...we brought it to the dealership because the oil light mysteriously came on and they said it might be bad gas...that one started to slip about a week later, and within another week we were informed that the transmission was gone.."The gears were slipping" we were told...
So...another $2400 and much anger and depression, they placed another used tranny into the vehicle and after 4 months and 4000km this one seizes as well...I mentioned to them that there must be a inherent problem and questioned the 4cylinder and 6cyclinder different trannies, but the acting general manager could not give me a response as to whether they even thought of this!!
We contacted Toyota Canada after the first tranny went, and they did nothing but contact the dealership to get them to work something out...Which they did not!!
Now they want another $6500 for a new transmission or another $2500 for another used one...Wow!! Can you believe this??
any ideas or advice??
