It seems I missed the $1800 supercharger deals. Anyone know where to get the best price for the 2000 V6 automatic Solara supercharger? None on Ebay right now...
the only supercharger i would buy for my solara would be the TRD 3.0 supercharger. sure its 2660 but its worth it to get the TRD brand plus your dealer will install it.

ok you need to be more specific. is that quote just for the supercharger or for the supercharger plus installation. you can buy just the supercharger for like 2660. what do you mean whats the deal with pullies. to increase power on superchargers you get larger pullies. the TRD supercharger comes with a 4psi pulley, and you can upgrade to a 5.5psi pulley that would give u some more power.

Actually, the higher boost pulleys are smaller, not bigger
Best price I've found online for my Camry was $2,575 from TRD Extreme. They have the SC for your Solara for $2,697. I paid $100 shipping for UPS 2nd Day Air to Hawaii and received it within a few days. You might be able to find a good price on ebay. They pop up every now and then. The install was actually quite simple. It took about 4 hours with two of my friends... it would have been faster but we ran into a few problems. lol. The longer warranty is the only reason to have it dealer installed.

That's not a bad price at all. I guess the difference in price is to compensate for the strut brace that comes with the Solara kit. $120 for the bar is a tad high. www.toyotaparts4u.com used to sell the bar alone for uner $100.
dan99solara: The SC is perfect for you 5spd owners - boost in all gears and redline all day. Every SC'd 5spd owner I've talked to raves about the SC and can't say enough about them. There's a link on SC3 to timeslips of various SC set-ups. I can't seem to find it now.

Faster? yes... but a million times more fun to drive! For me it was worth it. I had the money saved because I knew I wanted a SC when I got my Camry. I couldn't say if it would be worth it for you, but you do have a 5 speed V6 Solara (the car I wanted but settled for my Camry). I can guarantee you will notice a difference . If you know anyone with a boosted car ask them to take you for a ride. Only then can you begin to comprehend the feeling!

For me it is either get the supercharger or buy a new car. I think the supercharger is cheaper. Thanks for the testimonials. My biggest fear is paying that much but feeling ripped off in the end. Anyone with a supercharged Solara in or near Austin, TX? Wanna show me your supercharger?
